Index HealthTech · Coin No. ___ / 300

A fall is never the beginning of the story.
It is the final chapter of a long, quiet decline.

— The founding premise

In Memoriam

John Waddell

Lieutenant Colonel, United States Army

A decorated combat veteran. A father. A man who came home from Vietnam, raised a family, and lived independently for the better part of eight decades.

Then, in the span of six weeks, he fell. Twice. The second fall took his independence. Within six months, he was gone.

The falls were not the beginning. They were the visible end of a long, quiet decline — months of subtle changes in how he moved, how he slept, how he carried himself through the rooms of his own home. Changes no one was watching for. Changes no device was built to catch.

If anyone had been watching for the drift, the falls might never have been the headline.

Index HealthTech exists because of him, and because of every family who has lived this same sequence — the steady, invisible decline followed by the sudden, irreversible event.

What we build

Behavioral biomarker infrastructure for the rooms where people already live.

We build the sensing layer that watches for decline before it becomes catastrophe. No cameras. No wearables. No buttons to press. The technology lives in a lamp and a charger — utility-first objects that disappear into the home and quietly measure the six behavioral domains that predict functional decline.

Mobility. Sleep. Hygiene. Hydration. Speech. Routine. Together they form the Healthy Habits Index — a continuous 0–100 score of how well a person is holding the pattern of their own life. When the pattern drifts, the people who love them, and the clinicians who care for them, know early enough to act.

Sense Charger

Countertop dock for the bathroom and kitchen. Phone shelf, far-field mic, mmWave radar. The HHI score lives where the morning routine already happens.

Sense Lamp

Floor lamp for the bedroom and living room. Wireless charging shelf, dual radar, mic array. A lamp that happens to measure sleep, gait, and speech.

Sense™

mmWave radar and far-field acoustics. Privacy by physics, not policy.

HHI™

The continuous 0–100 behavioral biomarker score. Six domains. One number.

Drift Atlas™

Population-scale intelligence. Personalized Predictive Avatars.

The coin you are holding

Number ___
of three hundred.

Each coin marks a conversation that mattered — with a clinician, a partner, a researcher, an investor, a family who has lost someone the same way we did.

If you have one, it is because we believe you are part of how this gets built. The coin is small. The work is not. We are grateful you are in it with us.

Every life has a pattern · We catch the drift

One question

Tell us who you would protect.

A name. A parent. A patient. A veteran. Someone whose pattern you would not want to miss. That is who we are building this for.

We will write to you when Sense is in homes. We will not write to you for anything else.
